2 men docked in Lagos over theft of N163,000 motorcycle

Two men — Onyebuchi Idoko, 29, and Emmanuel Chinoso, 27 — were on Wednesday brought before a Surulere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle valued at N163,000.

The accused, whose addresses are unknown, are facing a two-count charge bordering on stealing.

Posecutor Christopher Okoniko told the court that the accused committed the offences at about 7.00 p.m. at Coker Bus Stop, Orile-Iganmu, Lagos, on July 22.

“The complainant found his motorcycle in possession of the accused and reported the matter at the police station and the accused was arrested.”

The offences contravened Sections 285 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs A. Dan Oni, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties one of who must be a blood relation.

The case was adjourned till Sept. 6 for mention. (NAN)
