Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to rejoice over the recent spate of defections to the party from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Omokri, in a tweet on Wednesday, said that the defectors were “moles” and “fifth columnists” planted by the PDP to destroy the APC from within.
The Herald can report that notable PDP members, including former National Chairman, Adamu Mu’azu and Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Gamawa Babayo, have defected to the APC weeks before the 2019 general election.
However, US-based Omokri told the ruling party not to rejoice over the defections.
He said, “All these defections All Progressives Congress is announcing shows their vacuousness. Have they heard of the word ‘mole’? How do they think I got the #AmaechiTapes? Anyway, let them just keep accepting fifth columnists and revealing their secrets to them. Those ones may or may not tell me.”
