2019: What #VPDebate Shows About Osinbajo – Reno Omokri

2 Min Read

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said that Friday night’s vice presidential debate showed that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was still stuck in the past.

Omokri, a Special Assistant on New Media to ex-President Jonathan, said this while reacting to claims by Osinbajo that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) destroyed Nigeria’s economy and infrastructure for 16 years.

Osinbajo added that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, with 60 percent less earnings, was working to put right what had gone wrong under the PDP government from 1999 to 2015.

But taking to his Facebook page, Omokri said that Osinbajo’s statements showed that the vice president was stuck on “false narrative” of PDP rot, instead of telling Nigerians about his administration’s plans.

Omokri said, “VP Osinbajo should have told the public what they have done and what they intend to do. By basing his strategy on the false narrative of 16 years of PDP rot, Osinbajo has shown that he is stuck in 2015 while Peter Obi is not just up to today, he is up to tomorrow. Osinbajo should be aware that not only his 16 years of PDP rot untrue, but even more importantly, Peter Obi was not part of those years. Peter Obi fought with the PDP In Anambra. He was impeached by the PDP. How can you blame such a man for 16 years of PDP rot. #2019Debate”
