Three empty vehicles have been recovered from the scene of a suspected abduction of unspecified number of travellers by bandits along Kaduna-Kachia Road.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Kaduna State, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the incident in Kaduna on Friday.
The police spokesman however said that the exact number of abductees has yet to be ascertained.

He said that besides the three empty vehicles recovered, one person was found at the scene and taken to the hospital for medical attention.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quoted an eyewitness who preferred anonymity as disclosing that the incident happened about 3:00 pm at the Makyalli area along Kaduna – Kachia road.
According to him, he was plying the road when some people alerted him a few metres to the place of the incident.
He said he and some other lucky commuters spent about 40 minutes on the highway before security operatives came and cleared the road.
