The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says operatives of its Makurdi Zonal Command have arrested five suspected internet fraudsters in the Makurdi metropolis, Benue State.
The suspects were identified as Stanley Tochukwu, Desmond Tochukwu, Dennis Emeka, George Ebuka and Arinze Odo.
In a statement, the EFCC said the suspects were arrested on Thursday, November 23, following credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related offences.
“Items recovered from the suspects are: phones, power bank, ATM cards and some cash.
“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the anti-graft commission said.
