The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has announced that the National Executive Council meeting of the Union has been suspended indefinitely.
This is due to the loss of life in the person of the former ASUU President, Festus Iyayi.
The NEC meeting was expected to hold today and the strike was expected to be called off. Iyayi died on his way to Kano to attend the NEC meeting, when a car in the convoy of the Kogi State governor struck his vehicle.
