The State Security Service have detained leading opposition figure Nasir El-Rufai in his hotel room in Anambra State. The All Progressives Congress member is reportedly in Awka to participate in election monitoring.
El-Rufai who is a strong critic of the Goodluck Jonathan administration tweeted about the incident on the social media. See his tweets below:
