New leaf: More cultists surrender their weapons in Port Harcourt

Salvation ministries led more cultists at Omuku area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Christ as they have decided to change their bad ways and turn a new leaf.

In the wee hours of Thursday, 2nd August, 2018, the area Commander, S. A. Sani of Omoku Police Divisional Headquarters was notified that a number of young men, about 103 in number, have surrender their weapons. They also promised to repent and give their lives to Christ. This incidence was preceded by a similar occurrence where over 300 ex-cultists and ex-militants denounced cultism over a fortnight ago in Salvation Ministries.

The presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie, was represented by Pastor Charles Alikor and Pastor Oye Allen who led these youths to Christ.

Some of the arms and ammunition surrendered includes; One pump action, one police uniform ,two army camouflage , two locally made guns ,one locally made pistol and a bag of charms.

A shrine was also destroyed at Mgbede community of Omoku community.
