The situation in Edo state has become more critical as Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) ordered Inspector-General of Police to provide security details for 17 Edo Lawmakers.
AGF Malami arrived at the decision after a group, Idahosa-West Chambers petitioned his office regarding the safety of the APC lawmakers whose lives may be in danger.
The lawmakers who are supporters of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu battled their PDP colleagues to access the premises of the state Assembly at Ringroad, Benin, The Nation reports
This is coming after President Buhari endorsed Ize-Iyamu as the governorship candidate of the ruling party.
