The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has redeployed two commissioners in his cabinet loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

In a Tuesday statement signed by Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, the redeployed commissioners were identified as Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor SAN and Barr. Isaac Kamalu.

The Herald can report that Adangor was redeployed from Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to the Ministry Of Special Duties (Governor’s Office).

Similarly, Kamalu, the former Commissioner for Finance is now deployed to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.

They were directed to hand-over to their respective Permanent Secretaries immediately as this deployment/reshufflement takes immediate effect.

Adangor and Kamalu were among nine commissioners who resigned their positions from Fubara’s cabinet in the heat of the political crisis that rocked the state late 2023.

Fubara and his erstwhile political godfather, Wike, had clashed over control of the machinery of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
