Governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi on Sunday, vowed to end cultism in the state.
Umahi made this disclosure while attending a family thanksgiving service at the Christ Embassy Church, Mile 50 Layout, Abakaliki.
‘I will not be lenient to any cultist in the state,’ the Governor declared.
‘I will not deal with them in the state.
‘They will be taken to Abuja where they will confess the names of their other cult members,” he went on.
‘Cult activities in Ebonyi is very serious and we are going to war against them,’ the Governor assured.
Umahi allayed the fears of residents following numerous cases of killings by the different cult groups in the state.
He further revealed that his government would do all they can to bring the cultists to book.
