The National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has tested negative for coronavirus.
There have been fears that the ruling party boss and others could have been infected by Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. Three of his staff have also tested positive.
According to a statement, Oshiomhole underwent a test for the virus on Thursday and came out negative.
The statement made available to the media on Friday was signed by APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.
Issa-Onilu’s statement read in part, “The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has tested negative to coronavirus.
“Following fears he could have physically interacted with person(s) who tested positive to the coronavirus, Oshiomhole presented himself for a test on Thursday and it has just been confirmed that the result returned negative.”
