Super Eagles stand-in captain and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia forward, Ahmed Musa has fulfilled his promise to splash N1 million on the Nigeria U23 side for every goal scored against Libya.

After Victor Osimhen inspired the team to a 4-0 victory at the Stephen Keshi stadium, Asaba on Monday, Musa has redeemed his pledge.

The 26-year-old splashed a total of N4 million on the team for securing qualification for the final round of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June, Super Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye, said.

Nigeria had lost the reverse fixture 2-0 but qualified on 4-2 aggregate thanks to a hattrick from Osimhen and a goal from David Okereke.
