Alex Iwobi Suffers Hamstring Injury

Alex Iwobi suffered an hamstring injury during Sunday’s game between Manchester United and Arsenal.

Outgoing Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger confirmed the injury to the 21-year-old Super Eagles forward during a press conference after the match.

Arsenal are due to play Atletico Madrid in the return leg semi final of the UEFA Europa League at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano on Thursday after a 1-1 draw at the Emirates last week.

Iwobi is in a race to be fit for the all-important travel to Spain.

Wenger said: “Ospina has a rib problem and Alex Iwobi has an hamstring problem, so we’ll see how well everyone recovers. Thursday will come quickly.”

He also added: “We will monitor them over the next 48 hours. We will know more on Tuesday.
