Unknown person(s) strangled a widow and mother of four, Florence Ede, in her farm in Chikanda, a border town in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara state on Thursday.
The assailants were also said to have stolen 12 bags of rice and the money she had intended to pay labourers.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Kwara, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the incident, added that investigation into the death was ongoing.
Okasanmi said her guard and the hired labourers had been arrested to assist in the investigation. (NAN)
