On Tuesday, the Academic Staff Union of Universities confirmed that it had ended its one week nationwide strike over the non-implementation of its 2009 agreement with the Federal Government.
Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, president of ASUU, urged lecturers to get back to work.
He said:“I have been receiving these reports that ASUU says strike continues, no, the strike ends today (Tuesday). All lecturers are to go back to work on Wednesday morning.”
Ogunyemi said ASUU was hopeful of a positive outcome going by the response coming from the Federal Government.
