Popular Nigerian actress Beverly Naya recently opened up about a challenging experience that almost led her to abandon her acting career. In a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Naya revealed how a hurtful blog post significantly impacted her mental health and self-esteem.
The specific blog post, titled “Nollywood, Can We Please Stop Making Beverly Naya Happen!”, caused Naya to question her place in the industry. “It really got to me,” she confessed, “It made me doubt myself and consider quitting on several occasions.“
Despite the negativity, Naya persevered. She emphasized that she has since achieved significant milestones, including winning an international award. Notably, the blog that targeted her appears to be defunct.
