Fast-rising Nigerian singer Boy Spyce has come to the defense of his fellow musician Simi, who has recently faced criticism online.
Simi, known for her soulful voice and hits like “Duduke” and “Joromi”, has been targeted by some fans who find her music repetitive. Boy Spyce, however, took to his X channel (formerly known as Twitter) to express his admiration for the singer’s talent.
Boy Spyce, a rising star on Mavin Records, revealed he’s currently drawing inspiration from Simi’s “Simisola” album while writing a ballad. He emphasized that critics “don’t realize how talented that woman is!“
