In a candid revelation, American pop icon Britney Spears has disclosed details about a past pregnancy and subsequent abortion involving record producer Justin Timberlake during their relationship between 1999 and 2002.
Spears has chosen to share this deeply personal aspect of her life in her upcoming memoir titled ‘The Woman in Me.’ According to her account, during their time together, she became pregnant with Timberlake’s child.
“At one point when we were dating, I became pregnant with Justin’s baby,” Spears revealed in her memoir, giving a glimpse into the intimate details of their relationship during that period.
Spears expressed her immense love for Timberlake and her desire to have a family with him in the future, although the pregnancy caught them off guard. She acknowledged that the situation was sooner than anticipated, but she was open to the idea of embracing motherhood.
However, the pregnancy didn’t meet a mutual excitement. Timberlake, she revealed, was not ready for the responsibility of parenthood at that stage of their lives. “He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” Spears shared about Timberlake’s reaction.
Spears revealed her internal struggle with the decision, expressing that she would not have chosen abortion if the decision had been hers alone. She described the experience as one of the most agonizing moments of her life.
