Spokesman of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign, Festus Keyamo (SAN) has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for displaying the “spirit of Christ” in paying tributes to former President Olusegun Obasanjo on his 82nd birthday.

Keyamo made the comment in response to a presidential statement that quoted Buhari as saying that he holds Obasanjo in high esteem.

Born on March 5, 1937, Obasanjo clocked 82 on Tuesday and Buhari led other Nigerians to pay him tribute.

Recall that Obasanjo was against the re-election of Buhari, instead pitching his tent with his former deputy and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Quoting Jesus Christ in Mark 5:44, which states, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you”, Keyamo hailed Buhari’s magnanimty to Obasanjo in victory.

“Instead of raining curses as some do, PMB just displayed the spirit of Christ here,” the senior lawyer said.
