Buhari’s govt friendly to Boko Haram terrorists – Nigerians claim as US govt rescue Kidnapped citizen in Niger state

6 Min Read

Nigerians have accused President Buhari’s administration of being friendly to Boko Haram insurgents who have shown no mercy in terrorising citizens of the nation.

This is coming after United States government rescued their citizen abducted by bandits in Niger state.

27-year-old Philip Walton was taken hostage in his home on October 26, leaving his wife and daughter. The incident occured at Massalata, a small village close to Nigeria’s border.

The US government concerned for the safety of Philip Walton sent US Forces in Africa to rescue him on October 31, 2020.

Jonathan Hoffman, Pentagon spokesperson said the United States take the wellbeing of their citizens seriously and would go to any length to ensure an American citizen is safe in any part of the world.

“U.S. forces conducted a hostage rescue operation during the early hours of 31 October in Northern Nigeria to recover an American citizen held hostage by a group of armed men. This American citizen is safe and is now in the care of the U.S. Department of State. No U.S military personnel were injured during the operation.

“We appreciate the support of our international partners in conducting this operation. The United States will continue to protect our people and our interests anywhere in the world.”

Six of the seven captors were killed in the rescue operation.

The incident has generated angry reactions from Nigerians who believe Nigerian government is providing an enabling environment for terrorism to thrive.

The federal government in 2019 launched Operation Safe Corridor, where “repentant” Boko Haram terrorists undergo a rehabilitation programme.

Over 600 Boko Haram “repentant” terrorists have been released for re-integration into the society. The government reportedly gave them N20,000 each to begin new lives.

Citizens claim the government is intentionally slow in ending terrorism as some unscrupulous government officials see it  as an avenue to keep siphoning funds under the pretext of fighting insecurity.

E sweet me die. 6 of the 7 kidnappers were killed during the rescue of a single American. You can imagine the fate of Boko Haram in the hands of the US special forces, MI6, French Legionnaire or Mossad

if our govt had allowed foreign intelligence and multilateral military cooperations to hold sway but like everything else in Nigeria, corruption is the main reason why Boko Haram continues its murderous rampage.

Our army and their conniving politicians have discovered a bottomless ATM.

Lol, they couldn’t even rely on Nigerian soldiers to carry out the the rescue mission 😂. If it is to kill protesters, Nigerian army is best at that one.

United States of America is a country to be proud of, a country who love and can do anything to protect their citizens.

Can Nigeria government protect or provide for her people?

NO, Nigeria government will steal, kills, lie and loot. Preaching hates and arresting innocent people. I am tired of Nigeria.

If America can come to Niger and rescue its citizen from the hands of kidnappers with no loss of life, then The Nigerian President has no excuse not to have been able to rescue the Chibok girls all this while.

This leaves me to conclude that the Nigerian Government is extremely wicked and definitely have shareholdings in Boko haram for it to still be existing, one day the truth will be revealed and punishment will be delivered to the wicked. God is watching.

Yes, some countries do value their citizens. Compare with Chibok girls and all the kidnap victims of Nigeria… Check out the inhumane treatment S. Africa and Ghana have been giving Nigerians in their countries in recent times…

Kai! Even in Nigeria, Nigerians are abandoned to killings by politician sponsored hoodlums and kidnappers and all that is paining the leaders is looted palliative and oba’s staff. Stupid Desmond Idiot, have you read this?

GS

“We will never abandon any American taken hostage.” That’s a country that places value on life unlike this DOOMED country called Nigeria. God pls save Your people.
