Burna Boy Wins ‘Best World Album’ At 2020 Edison Awards

Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has made history with his “African Giant” Album by winning ‘Best World Album’ at the 2020 Edison Awards.

Burna Boy won ‘Best World Album’ award at the 2020 Edison Awards for his African Giant album, making him the first Nigerian to win the award and the third African, after Youssou N’Dour and Angélique Kidjo.

The Edison Awards said: “The Nigerian Burna Boy is a sensation in world and pop music. His music is unmistakably African, but fits seamlessly into today’s pop music culture.

‘African Giant’ contains a challenging mix of Rap, RnB, Reggae and African pop music and at times recalls the also Nigerian great Fela Kuti.”

Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather has announced that he will be fighting YouTube star Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition on February 20.

Mayweather is an undefeated champion with a 50-0 record, multiple world titles in five weight classes, and an Olympic bronze medal.

Mayweather was estimated to have earned more than $100m from his fight with UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017, and $9m from an exhibition against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018.

Paul is best known for his controversial YouTube video where he filmed a dead body in a Japanese forest.

Mayweather called out Logan Paul last month on Twitter, making his thoughts on boxing YouTubers clear and saying he’s “not the one for the kid games.”
