Rigobert Song, the former Liverpool, West Ham United and Cameroon defender is reportedly fighting for survival after being admitted in the hospital in Yaounde.
Song is currently suffering from cerebral aneurysm, and is in a critical condition. He is the head coach of Chad ‘s senior national team.
The football world has come together to support the popular ex player who lead Cameroon to victory many times during the competitions.
Cameroonian footballer, Samuel Eto’o posted a picture of Song with the caption, “I wish you a lot of courage and a speedy recovery brother. “
Jamie Carragher, Stan Collymore and Robbie Fowler has also posted messages of sympathy in the wake of the news, while Liverpool tweeted a message of support from the club’s official account on Monday.
