Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has announced the closure of all borders to all foreign countries except the United States of America over the outbreak of coronavirus across the globe.

Reports claim that the decision to close Canada’s borders came three days after the prime minister’s wife tested positive for coronavirus.

Trudeau, who disclosed this on Monday during a news conference reported by APF, said;

“We will be denying entry into Canada to people who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

“This measure will carve out some designated exceptions, including for air crews, diplomats, immediate family members of Canadian citizens and, at this time, U.S. citizens.”

He urged Canadians to isolate themselves as much as possible to avoid the spread of the virus.

“All Canadians, as much as possible, should also stay home,” he said.
