There is palpable fear among residents of Mile 12, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos, as hoodlums have reportedly gone on rampage, razing shops and vandalising vehicles.
While details are still sketchy as at press time, unconfirmed reports say the disturbance was caused by an ethnic clash that broke out in the area.
Also, it is believed that at least six persons have lost their lives in the fracas, while a school has also been razed.
Some policemen have also been injured, The Punch reports.
A social media user from Agiliti Estate, Mile 12, who did not disclose his identity, said: “Please help the resident of Agility mile 12, they are now burnning shops, school and houses. Help us wit army and police cos d only thing we are seeing now is just helicopter parading. Don’t ask me what cause d fight cos I don’t know too we are just hearing rumour…”
