Hollywood Actor Tom Hanks and his Actress wife, Rita Wilson have contracted the deadly Coronavirus.
Tom Hanks made the announcement via his Instagram page saying he and his wife contracted the virus while travelling through Australia.
The Actor explained that he was tested alongside his wife after they both started to exhibit symptoms of the virus including tiredness, body aches, chills and slight fevers.
Tom Hanks wrote further on Instagram;
“Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
Warner Bros as well as one of his representatives confirmed the diagnoses.
According to Warner Bros, Tom Hanks was in Australia doing some pre-production work on a new movie about Elvis Presley.
“We are working closely with the appropriate Australian health agencies to identify and contact anyone who may have come in direct contact with the individual,” the company said in a statement.
“The health and safety of our company members is always our top priority, and we are taking precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world.” Warner Bros said further.
