Renowned socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has spoken out against the act of evading invitations from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), urging Nigerians to cooperate with the agency’s investigations.

In a recent statement on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest emphasized that EFCC operatives do not resort to violence when handling suspects, contrary to popular misconceptions. He assured the public that the agency’s mandate is to investigate and prosecute offenders lawfully.

Dispelling fears of mistreatment, Cubana Chief Priest commended the hospitality of EFCC facilities, revealing that suspects are provided with basic amenities, including meals, during their detention. He encouraged individuals summoned by the EFCC to comply with invitations rather than attempt to flee or resist arrest.

The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide,” he stated, emphasizing the agency’s determination to apprehend individuals evading justice.

Cubana Chief Priest’s remarks come amid his recent legal entanglement with the EFCC. The socialite was arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, on charges related to the alleged abuse of the Naira. Despite pleading not guilty, he was granted bail set at N10 million with two sureties in like sum.
