Davido Dispels False Arrest Rumors, Plans Legal Action Against Fabricators

Renowned Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has firmly refuted rumors circulating on April 1st, 2024, alleging his arrest while on a music tour in East Africa. The singer took to social media to address the speculations, emphasizing the importance of setting the record straight amidst a wave of concern from fans and well-wishers.

In a statement released via his official handle on Tuesday, Davido clarified that he had not been arrested and assured his followers of his safety. He affirmed his unblemished record, stating, “Throughout my career, I have never been arrested by anyone in any country for any crime in the world.

The rumors, which originated from various online sources, claimed Davido’s arrest in East Africa. However, the singer debunked these assertions, revealing that he had completed a successful tour in Kenya and Uganda before returning to Nigeria.

Expressing his disdain for the spread of false information, Davido condemned the irresponsible actions of those behind the rumors. In his statement titled ‘Setting record straight on false arrest report,’ he vowed to pursue legal action against the parties responsible for propagating the misinformation.
