Singer and actress Demi Lovato is ready to go to rehab after an episode involving an apparent drug overdose for which she was rushed to the hospital.

The former Disney star was found unconscious at her home in Los Angeles on Tuesday and she was revived thanks to a dose of overdose reversal drug Narcan.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.” her publicist said.

According to E! News, Demi Lovato was out partying with friends the night before her overdose at the Saddle Ranch bar and restaurant in Los Angeles and that the group was there till close to closing time.

The source said: “Demi wasn’t like super sloppy or wasted, definitely was drinking though. Her friends were cheering her on when she took a shot.”

E! News also report that another source claimed that over the last couple of months, Lovato and her inner circle of friends, who travel with her on tour, have been partying hard.

“She had been partying for 12 straight hours and it caught up with her,” said another source to E! News, “This was going on for a few weeks and the warning signs were there. She slipped up and thought she could handle it. This is obviously a huge wake-up call. Demi doesn’t want to die and she’s very grateful to be alive. She will be leaving the hospital and heading straight to rehab. Her family has been by her side supporting her and is getting her the help she needs.”

Also, contrary to earlier reports, the drug that Demi Lovato overdosed on was not cocaine, but the substance has not been identified.

Meanwhile, Demi’s ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama was spotted at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where the singer is currently receiving treatment.

The pair dated for 6 years and split in 2016, but she has always referred to him as her first love.
