American singer Demi Lovato is still cooped up in the hospital after suffering from the side effects of her drug overdose.
The singer has been reported to be wracked by a high fever and nausea as she tries to recover from a drug overdose that could have claimed her life almost a week ago.
The 25-year-old was found in her apartment unconscious after overdosing on an unknown drug and had to be revived with a drug overdose reversal Narcan.
According to E! News, Demi Lovato has had a difficult couple of months and was said to be in a bit of a freefall
“She had a sober coach who she cut out of her life a few months ago. She’s been in a downward spiral ever since and has not been doing well,” the insider shared. “She’s been heavily using and her friends have been very worried that this was going to happen.” said a source to E! News.
Demi Lovato has been open about her struggle with addiction and even released a single called ‘Sober’ where she talked about her struggle and how she fell off the sobriety train.
“She made the decision to come out publicly about her relapse recently because she thought she could inspire her fans and it would help her keep on track, but she has been battling her own demons for months,” the insider continued. “Demi has been trying to stay busy with her tour but she has definitely been having her ups and downs.”
The singer has had her family and her Ex-Boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama around her for support all the way and she’s also had the support of her fans who have all wished her a speedy recovery and there has been optimism that she would come out of this particular ordeal intact.
