Doctor electrocuted while trying to rescue another victim in Lagos

Some residents of the Surulere area of Lagos have taken to social media to mourn the passing of a Medical Doctor who died while trying to rescue an electrocuted neighbor.

The consultant, Doctor Ayeni Adeyemi David, is said to have been in his apartment when he noticed that some people around had been shouting for help.

And being the humanitarian he was, the doctor swiftly rushed to the scene and saw that an individual had been electrocuted.

In Ayeni’s attempt to save the victim’s life, he reportedly got electrocuted too and died in the process.

Taking to social media to mourn his passing, families and friend of the medical doctor who was working with the Federal Government until his death, revealed how he had been a selfless individual with a genuine passion for his profession.

A Facebook user with name – Ahmed Adebayo Ayeni wrote, “It is just tragic, terrible for me over the lost of my dear brother. A renowned Medical consultant to the Federal Medical Centre. He died in the course of duty today at his resident in Surulere, Lagos. He lived an exemplary life of humanity, meritorious services to mankind. Rest in peace, my dear brother. Doctor Ayeni Hakeem Adeyemi David.
