Canadian rapper Drake is feeling the sting of defeat after losing a hefty sum on a recent boxing match.
Drake had placed a $565,000 wager on Tyson Fury to emerge victorious against Oleksandr Usyk in their highly anticipated heavyweight showdown. Unfortunately for Drake, Usyk pulled off a stunning upset, defeating Fury by split decision and claiming the undisputed heavyweight championship title.
This isn’t the first time Drake’s love of gambling has resulted in a major loss. The rapper has a history of placing high-stakes bets on sporting events, with mixed results. He previously lost a significant amount on Anthony Joshua’s knockout win over Francis Ngannou and another $700,000 on Dricus Du Plessis defeating Sean Strickland at UFC 297.
