Easter: Friday, Monday Are Public Holidays – FG

To enable Nigerians celebrate, the Federal Government has declared Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 2 as public holidays for Good Friday and Easter celebrations respectively.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, urged Christians to use the opportunity to pray for the nation’s unity and progress.

The minister also urged Christians and other Nigerians to deploy the spirit of Easter to engender unity and peaceful coexistence in love, peace and sacrifice.

He further appealed to Nigerians to “to remain supportive of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts towards building a peaceful , united and prosperous nation.”
