He’s known as one of the nicest actors in show business and Eddie Redmayne proved that to be the case in his latest magazine interview.

The 33-year-old actor posed for new images for GQ magazine as he talked about using his new found wealth to help struggling actors to pay their rent.

He told the publication: ‘The greatest privilege that I had was that my parents lived in London. So when I was out of university and out of work for a year, working in a pub, I didn’t pay rent.

‘And I get letters from people trying to go to drama school and needing to pay their rent. And so that’s something I occasionally do. It’s impossibly expensive to live in London.’

The handsome star, whose wife Hannah Bagshawe is said to be expecting their first child, looked very handsome in the shoot.

During the interview, the actor also touched upon the challenging acting roles he chooses.  He said: ‘I think people look at it and go, urgh, you want to try and do something transformational.  ‘And it’s not true – just, if you’re lucky enough in your lifetime to get two parts that are interesting and challenging to play, then it’s a privilege really.’

Eddie is also set to star as Newt Scamander in upcoming movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The adventures of writer Newt in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards take place seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
