Beautiful wife of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Lara, added compassionate to the adjectives describing her when she donated a cash sum of two million naira, clothing materials, books and other materials to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the state.

Mrs Oshiomhole donated the items to the camp located within the premises of the International Christian Centre in Uhogua, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state on Friday.

She promised the IDPs the state government’s support in supporting the facility, which can then better take care of them.

“We are fully aware of the circumstances that made you to leave your homes and we are sure that in a very short time, peace will return to every part of Nigeria. Let me emphasise that you are at home anywhere in Nigeria.

“We are planning to come back so that we can have a party together and know more about each other.

“Edo State has promised to provide an enabling environment that will enhance your education and general well-being,” she said.

In her reaction to the First Lady’s kind gesture, the Chairman of Ovia North-East LGA, Lucy Omagbon, pledged to do more in ensuring that the IDPs are well taken care of as long as their stay in the camp last.
