Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against hiding under Friday’s shooting of some party members to frame his friend, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, and five others were shot on Friday evening at an event organised by the party to welcome its gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi back to the state.
Fayemi earlier in the week resigned his appointment as Minister of Solid Minerals to concentrate on his gubernatorial election.
After the shooting, the APC had accused the state government under Fayose of plotting to assassinate its candidate, a claim the government denied.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Saturday afternoon, Fani-Kayode warned the APC against framing Fayose.
