Election: “Anarchy will not be allowed” – Lagos police vows crackdown on protesters

The Lagos State Police Command has vowed a crackdown on anyone planning to foment trouble in the wake of Saturday’s presidential election in the state.

In a tweet on Sunday, the command’s spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said available intelligence showed that some people were planning to take laws into their hands.

Hundeyin said that no form of anarchy will be allowed, warning that such would be crushed.

“Available intel suggests some people have concluded plans to foment trouble & wreak havoc.

“Kindly note that such attempts would be crushed decisively.

“Our election security architecture has not been drawn down.

“Anarchy will not be allowed! Remain law-abiding. Be guided!” Hundeyin said.
