A 52-year-old former stripper turned French presidential candidate, Cindy Lee was arrested while she campaigned topless on the street to promote transparency.
The former stripper and presidential candidate of the Pleasure Party in France was arrested by security officials while handing out campaign materials and talking to voters on the street.
The Pleasure party candidate during her campaign said: “We are here to demand transparency when it comes to corruption, and this outfit justifies transparency
“I advocate the well-being of the individual in society, putting people at the centre of politics.”
Cindy Lee who was topless and dressed in hotpants with tassels covering each of her nipples was however disrupted as 30 riot police officers stormed her campaign site to arrest her.
The police officers who admitted to mistaking her for a radical feminist activist associated with the Femen movement which regularly holds topless protests against exploitation of women did not recognise the politician until she had been put behind bars.
