Maureen Esisi, the estranged wife of popular Nollywood actor Blossom Chukwujekwu, has stated that the couple is still technically married despite their separation in 2019.
Speaking on a recent episode of “The House Chronicles” podcast, Esisi alleged that her ex-in-laws played a significant role in their separation, contradicting their earlier stance against divorce. She recalled how her ex-mother-in-law would encourage her to stay in the marriage, citing religious reasons, but later supported her ex-husband’s decision to end it.
Esisi emphasized that she and Chukwujekwu never formally divorced, as they did not sign any legal documents. “Technically, we are still married,” she maintained.
This statement comes over three years after the couple’s separation and nearly a year after Chukwujekwu married Pastor Ehinome in June 2022.
Esisi’s claim has sparked interest and debate among fans and followers, with many wondering about the implications of their technical marriage status.
Neither Chukwujekwu nor his representatives have commented on Esisi’s assertions, leaving the public to speculate about the couple’s current relationship status.
