An explosion rocked Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s residence yesterday evening at about 1820 HRS.
Sources tell The Herald that the explosion was caused due to a malfunction or accidental discharge by the Armoured Personnel Carrier stationed in front of the Governor’s residence.
Two security men inside the APC vehicle are reported to have died instantly whilst six others are said to be injured.
The State Government however has denied reports of any deaths associated with the incident.
Government has said that it will foot the medical expenses of all those injured in the incident.
