Exxon Mobil Denies Militants Attack On Qua Iboe 48″

Following the Niger Delta Avengers militant group’s announcement of a fresh attack on the Qua Iboe 48″ crude oil export pipeline operated by Exxon Mobil Corp, the company has on Tuesday denied such attack.

The Exxon Mobil Qua Iboe facility reported to have been attacked is the largest crude oil stream and exports facility in Nigerian producing more than 300,000 barrels per day.

The company has however denied claims by the Niger Delta Avengers militant group.

It said through its spokesman, Todd Spitler that “there were no attacks on our facilities”.

Recall that the Miliantt group  in the late hours of Monday announced a fresh attack through its website.

The announcement read:

At about 7:30pm,  the Niger Delta Avengers blew up Exxon Mobil Qua Iboe 48″ crude oil export pipeline. When will these International Oil companies (IOC) learn to listen. We (Niger Delta Avengers) said no export.
