Solomon Ede, 50 popularly known in his community as Baba Rita is dead after his lifeless body was discovered face down in his face mask, at Alako, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to Nigerian newspaper, Nation, the deceased was fond of always putting on his face mask in order mitigate the risk of getting infected with Coronavirus. However on the unfortunate day of his passing, he accidentally slept with it on Friday, August 28, 2020 after getting drunk.

A resident familiar with the subject – identified simply as Olamilekan revealed that the deceased had declined the advice of those who pleaded with him to retire to bed when he was discovered to be drunk.
According to reports, when the news of his passing broke and his wife got a wind of it, she was said to have passed out. However sympathizers present at the scene whisked her away to receive medical attention.
The Police division in the state is yet to pass a statement to confirm the incident and an autopsy has not been released at the time of this report.
His body has since been deposited at the mortuary of the State General Hospital at Ijaiye, Abeokuta
