Federal Government Shut Schools, Universities over Coronavirus Fears

The Nigerian Federal Government has ordered all primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions in the country to shut down over the fears of a Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

According to a report by Punch Newspaper, the Federal Ministry of Education ordered the immediate closure of all schools in the country in order to contain the spread of the disease.

This was confirmed by the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Sonny Echono.

Nigeria now has a total of 11 cases of the Coronavirus infection although the index case has been confirmed negative after weeks of treatment in isolation.

This was confirmed by the Lagos state ministry of health who say the Italian has now been cured of Coronavirus.
