A branch of the popular The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Alapere area of Lagos was on Sunday gutted by fire.
A video of the church premises being razed with some congregants and their vehicles supposedly trapped inside is currently trending on social media.
The cause of the fire incident could not be established as of press time.
The incident occurred on the day the funeral rites for Pastor Dare Adeboye, the second son of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, commenced.

Premium Times quoted an unnamed official of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) as confirming the incident.
However, spokesman of the agency, Nosa Okunbor, said he was yet to be briefed on the fire incident at the RCCG branch.
