Popular content creator and activist, Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni, has said that the Muhammadu Buhari administration cannot withstand a fraction of the vitriol it directed at previous governments.

He said that anyone complaining about the current fuel scarcity prevalent in many parts of the country is quickly dubbed “enemy of Nigeria”, even though key figures of the current government did worse things to its predecessor.

Mr. Macaroni noted that Bashir Ahmad, a digital communication assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, advocated civil war in Nigeria under the Goodluck Jonathan administration because of fuel scarcity.

Sharing a screenshot of Ahmad’s tweet around the time of the Occupy Nigeria protest in 2012, Mr. Macaroni said, “These are those who call themselves Patriots today.

“Some of those who are in government now were advocates of Civil war and anarchy some years ago.

“They are in power now, there is fuel scarcity everywhere, the people are suffering. If we talk, they call us Enemies of Nigeria,” the content creator wrote.
