Some Fulani Herdsmen were photographed running to safety after they sighted members of a vigilante unit, even abandoning their cows in the process.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon in a quiet community in Abatete, Anambra state

There was video footage of the incident posted online and it showed the Fulani Herdsmen taking flight, leaving behind both their cows and their property after seeing the vigilante who came to invade their camp in the bush.

Apparently, the vigilante members weren’t there for war but wanted to broker peace, a sentiment that the Herdsmen did not seem to believe, so when they were called for friendly talks, the herdsmen did not come out of hiding
