Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has announced a return to the popular franchise with a brand new film titled “Everybody Loves Jenifa.”
The news comes as a delightful surprise for audiences who have followed the hilarious journey of Jenifa, a character created by Akindele herself. The original “Jenifa” film premiered in 2008 and was followed by a sequel, “Return of Jenifa,” in 2011. The franchise’s enduring popularity led to the creation of the television series “Jenifa’s Diary” in 2015, which further expanded the character’s world. In 2019, another spin-off series titled “Aiyetoro Town” delved deeper into Jenifa’s backstory.
Details about the plot of “Everybody Loves Jenifa” remain under wraps, but the title suggests a heartwarming return to form for the beloved character. The film is slated for a December 2024 premiere,
