Gov Wike Appoints 12 Special Advisers, Others

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (CON), has approved the appointment of 12 special advisers to the governor.

Special Assistant (Media) to the Rivers State Governor, Simeon Nwakaudu, stated that the new appointees include: Mr. Cyril Dum Wite; Nkem Nweribe, Chris Itamunoala; Mrs Daisy West, Sir. Elems Ogbowu, and Okiri Aribitonye M.

Others include Prince Shedrack Akolokwu, Prof Israel Owate, Bishop W. T. Iwor, Anugbum Onuoha, Prof Atuboyebia Obianeme; and Isaac Okemiri.

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike also approved the constitution of the State Post-Primary Schools Board as follows: David Briggs, chairman; Evans Ogoloma, member; Dr Lloyd Ukwu, member; Mrs Victoria Allison, member; Hanachor Woko, member; Ndubuisi Okere, part time member, and Mrs. Priscillia Vikue, part time member.

Others are Dr Marcus Ideri, part time member; Mr. Ignatius Onwuka, part time member; and Simeon Hart, part time member.

The governor also approved the appointment of Mr. Franklyn Oraye and Mr. Marshall Obuzor as Senior Special Assistants on Social Media.

The swearing in of the Special Advisers and the Post-Primary Schools Board will hold on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House, Port Harcourt.

  • Why 12 Special Advisers in this economic climates? Why can these governors reasons at all and use the allocation to develop the state? Only 2 out of 36 states can stand on their own if no Federal allocation. Where is the sense here if a state cannot sustain to generate own revenue, only depend on Federal allocations. Shameful of creating states.
