River States Governor Nyesom Wike has stated his unhappiness at some of the Police officers posted to Rivers state by the Acting Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris.

According to the Governor, some of them have contributed to the insecurity surrounding the state and he is unhappy that they are back.

He further claimed that some of these policemen have been bought by politicians who then use them to compromise the security of the state.

Wike, while addressing medical practitioners, was particular about a certain senior police officer indicted for aiding kidnappers and cultists in the state but was posted back to the state in what Wike sees as an attempt to manipulate the security architecture of the state.

He threatened the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris that if nothing was done about the posting, then he would be forced to expose the names of the accused officers and how they contributed to breakdown in security within the state.

Idris has some other problems which he would surely be left red-faced after the police cars he declared missing after his predecessor Solomon Arase left office were revealed to have never been missing in the first place.
