Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello reportedly mobilized thugs with instructions to prevent Senator Dino Melaye from sharing bags of rice meant for the state’s civil servants.
A few days ago, about 40 senators of the federal republic donated over a thousand bags of rice to Kogi state civil servants in a bid to allay them of their sufferings.
The donations were spearheaded by Senator Dino Melaye after he pleaded with the senators to help the civil servant who are currently being owed several months salary.
According to a Facebook post by Sen. Melaye, Governor Bello has sent thugs to prevent the sharing of these bags of rice. He wrote:
“GYB has mobilized his thugs backed by his paid police men to barricade the entry to Lokoja from Abuja with the intention of attacking Sen. Dino Melaye and the rice meant for the suffering Kogi civil servants”.
